Freshie Care & Safety
Hang your freshie by its cord so it never touches a surface. The fragrance oils that make it smell amazing can stain or soften plastic, leather, vinyl and paint.
Do
- Hang it from your rearview mirror, a closet rod, a locker hook or a diaper bag
- Keep it out of direct sun when you can; heat makes the scent stronger but wears it out faster
- Store extras sealed in their bag until you're ready to use them
- Wash your hands after handling a fresh one
Don't
- Let it rest on the dashboard, seats, console or any finished surface
- Hang it where it blocks your view of the road; check your state's rules on mirror hangings
- Leave it in a parked car on a very hot day if you're worried about it softening
- Let children or pets chew on it; freshies are not toys and are not edible
How long does the scent last?
Most freshies stay fragrant for 4–6 weeks, depending on heat and airflow. When the scent fades, add a few drops of matching fragrance oil to refresh it.
Sensitivities
Freshies contain concentrated fragrance oils. If you're sensitive to scents, start somewhere with good airflow, and stop using it if you notice irritation.
